Gabriel Moyne, Knife maker and Horn Sculptor
My name is Gabriel Moyne and I was born in Grenoble (France) in 1981.
Passionate about arts and history, I have always loved Scotland for its wild lands steeped in history.
I've started to carve horns in 2006 (until 2009) in a self-taught way.
It was in July 2017 that I moved to North Kessock in the Highlands with my wife and our 3 children.
In October 2017 I relaunched "Kernunos" to honor and sublimate the Celtic, Viking and Pictish arts in unique handcarved drinking horns, blowing horns etc...
Since 2018, I've been making entirely individualy handforged sgian dubh with the finest traditions of French knife making to sublimate centuries of Highland history.
I also take a great pleasure to create bespoke knives, dirks and swords and send them worldwide.
As a concretisation of my dream, I've been established on the iconic NC500 on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands in the lovely wee community of Elphin between Lochinver and Ullapool since september 2019.
